Melt the butter and honey together in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until commbined. Increase the heat slightly, and allow to simmer gently for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened and darkened in colour.
Add the cream, whisk to combine, and allow to come to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the heat, stir in the salt, and allow to cool for 5 – 10 minutes.
Once cooled, pour the caramel sauce into an empty Peace River Honey glass jar and store in the fridge to use on ice cream, brownies, or with fruit!
